Disneyland Paris shares new details about The Lion King attraction

Disneyland Paris has announced new details about the new The Lion King attraction that will open in the future Disney Adventure World. During D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in August 2024, it was announced that a completely new, immersive world based on the beloved Disney animated film The Lion King would be built – a first for a Disney park worldwide, given the film's popularity, especially in Europe.

The construction of this new world, which alongside World of Frozen will rise, is scheduled to begin in autumn 2025. When the sun rises over this new themed area after the opening of World of Frozen, a brand new attraction will take guests to the heart of the Pride Lands. This spectacular water attraction combines a unique water experience with advanced Audio-Animatronics® technology. Simba himself will welcome visitors for an unforgettable adventure, complete with the iconic songs from the masterful 1994 film.

After guests have explored the caves beneath the 37-metre-high Pride Rock Once inside, a marvellous and sensational journey through recognisable scenes and settings from the beloved animated film begins. The adventurous path includes three thrilling descents, including an impressive 16-metre drop. Thanks to the seamless integration of numerous Audio-Animatronics® figures in a detailed environment, brought to life with state-of-the-art special effects and an unforgettable soundtrack, this attraction promises to be one of the greatest at Disneyland Paris!
