On 14 July 2023, Disneyland Paris celebrated Bastille Day in an unprecedented way. The park unveiled the largest drone show in Europe, an enchanting combination of pyrotechnics, lights and breathtaking drone choreography that filled the night sky above Sleeping Beauty's castle.
With no fewer than 1,495 drones dancing in synchronisation, this innovative show paid tribute to the deep bond between Disneyland Paris and France. The drones painted the sky with the colours of the French flag, lit up the Eiffel Tower and brought the rose window of Notre Dame Cathedral to life.
The aerial illumination went beyond national symbols: Disney and Pixar classics with French connections, such as Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Aristocats and Ratatouille, were highlighted with dazzling patterns and vibrant colours.
This record-breaking night show was the result of four months of intensive collaboration between Disneyland Paris Entertainment teams and Dronisos, the official technology supplier from Bordeaux. This unique spectacle highlighted not only the innovation but also the groundbreaking creativity that Disneyland Paris brings to life time and time again. An evening full of visual and technological wonder, where French culture and beloved Disney stories merged in harmony.
