In 2024, Disneyland Paris will proudly welcome two new enchanting scenes, Frozen and Winnie the Pooh, to Le Pays des Contes de Fées in honour of its 30th anniversary!
Since 1994, this peaceful boat ride has enchanted guests of all ages with its fairy-tale atmosphere. Discover this journey through stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios, a tribute to Walt Disney's original idea and a reinvention of the classic Storybook Land Canal Boats.
Frozen in miniature form
Before guests are invited to Arendelle at Walt Disney Studios Park, “Frozen” comes to life in miniature form in Fantasyland. Working closely with Disneyland Paris Central Shops, Imagineers are creating a detailed model of the majestic North Mountain, covered in a thick white blanket of snow, and Elsa’s iconic Ice Palace at the summit. Guests can even spot Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff and Sven on their way to Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post (and Sauna)!

Pooh and his friends in the spotlight
As your boat carries you through these enchanting realms, another timeless place will blossom, full of charm, wisdom and... honey. It is, of course, the Hundred Acre Wood! Storybook Land will soon have a new home for Winnie the Pooh and his friends, not far from the cosy cottage of the Seven Dwarfs.
“There is something magical about taking something life-size and displaying it in miniature form, something Walt himself was obsessed with.” Keith Rector, Art Director at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, shares. “Growing up near Disneyland in California, Storybook Land was always my favourite attraction. When I joined the team in Paris, we started a conversation about how we could bring new stories to Le Pays des Contes de Fées. I wanted to introduce new characters into this realm of fairy tale classics.”
These additions and a complete renovation of the attraction will take place over the coming year.
