Disneyland® Paris has opened a new, elegant, covered location for Meet & Greets with Disney Characters. The new gazebo, located between the Liberty Arcade and Central Plaza, was designed by Walt Disney Imagineering in the Victorian style of Main Street, U.S.A.®. The structure is made of a weather-resistant resin that resembles steel, and the décor can be customised by the Entertainment teams.
The gazebo pays homage to Victorian-era bandstands and features a Victorian chandelier and stars as a subtle Disney touch. The green-grey colour refers to the Statue of Liberty, matching the nearby Liberty Arcade.
According to architect Stéphane Poulain of Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, the aim is for guests to feel that the gazebo has always been part of Main Street, U.S.A.®. Even outside of Meet ‘n’ Greet hours, guests can take photos in the refined setting, which may also be used for other entertainment in the future.
Meanwhile, progress is being made the construction of a covered terrace at Casey's Corner, which will offer sheltered seating in the same style from spring 2025 onwards. The work will mainly take place at night to minimise disruption. More information about the opening will follow shortly.
