Disney Village: transformation update and new concept art revealed!

Disneyland Paris unveils new concept art and details for the transformation of Disney Village. The shopping, dining and entertainment area between the Disney theme parks and the Disney Hotels is undergoing a true metamorphosis. The transformation, which has been in the works for some time, is in full swing and will take place in phases throughout the course of this year.

New shop concepts

One of the most important aspects of the transformation is the introduction of new shop concepts. For example, the former Disney Fashion Jr. shop is currently being converted into the Disney Home Store, where guests can find unique Disney-themed home accessories. The Disney Fashion and Disney Gallery shops will close their doors in May and will be merged into one shop, the Disney Lifestyle Store, with an extensive range of clothing, jewellery and accessories.

Disney Wonders

The centrepiece of the transformation will undoubtedly be the Disney Wonders shop. This brand-new retail concept, located in the former Disney Store, will serve as a flagship hub store, where guests can find merchandise from all popular Disney franchises, such as Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar. The shop will also offer a seasonal range, in line with the resort's celebrations or the latest Disney film releases.

Existing shops

In addition to the new shop concepts, existing shops will also be renovated. The LEGO Store Disney Village will receive a fresh update, with a revamped interior and a new photo point added to the exterior. New LEGO sculptures will also be on display in the shop.

The popular Sports Bar is also being renovated and refurbished, while retaining its existing charm. Annette's Diner will retain its current theme and remain a favourite spot for burgers and milkshakes in the spirit of the ‘Happy Days’ of the 1950s. And the waiters on roller skates will stay too!

Modern appearance

The transformation of Disney Village goes beyond just new shops. The façades of the buildings are being renovated to create a modern and inviting look. The renovated façades will bring a fresh and contemporary atmosphere to the area and ensure a seamless transition between the Disney theme parks and the Disney Hotels.

All new shop concepts in Disney Village will open by the end of 2024. The Disney Wonders shop will open later, the exact date is not yet known.
