Disney+ has unveiled the first trailer and poster for Star Wars: The Acolyte, an exciting live-action series set in an era of mystery and darkness. The series premieres on Wednesday, 5 June, with the first two episodes, exclusively on Disney+.
A dangerous mission
In Star Wars: The Acolyte, a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) is confronted with a shocking wave of crime. He must team up with a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg) to unravel the mystery. As they learn more, their investigation reveals dark forces and secrets that could shake the foundations of the Jedi Order.
A stellar cast
The series features a cast including Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
‘Star Wars: The Acolyte was created by Leslye Headland (Russian Doll) and produced by Lucasfilm. Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef are executive producers. The series is directed by Headland, Kogonada, Alex Garcia Lopez, and Hanelle Culpepper.
